Sort hul

Et sort hul er en samling af masse så stor/tæt, så end ikke elektromagnetiske bølger (for eksempel radiobølger og lys) kan udsendes fra dens "overflade".
Sorte huller deles i to grupper:
1. Sorte huller med masser som stjerners.
2. Sorte huller som har masser som milliarder stjerner kaldes massive sorte huller (MBH). De formodes at være i centrum af aktive galakser (AGN) og kvasarer og almindelige galakser.
